The method involves processing bearing bush (10), which is inserted into a bearing seat (3) of the end shield (2). The bearing bush is made, in its peripheral surface which contacts the opposite lateral inner surface of the bearing seat, of a material which makes material flow possible when a force is applied, and is directly pressed into an unprocessed bearing seat produced by molding the end shield in a casting mould. The bearing bush is positioned in the casting mould before the end shield is molded and is cast together with the end shield in the bearing seat. An independent claim is also included for the electric motor with the end shield.
