The bearing bush (18) has a slide bearing (17) for rotatably receiving a shaft (9). A bearing section (19) is provided for accommodating the slide bearing. A mounting portion (20) secures the bearing bush on injection molded plastic housing (2) of fuel pump (1). The internal diameter of mounting portion is larger than internal diameter of the slide bearing such that the inner surface (23) of mounting portion is not contacted with shaft. An independent claim is included for an electric machine.
