The present invention relates to the use of a polymerization inhibitor for the stabilization of olefinically unsaturated monomers, which is characterized by the fact that the polymerization inhibitor· 0 to 100 w -% of a compound according to the formula (i) and· 100 to 0 w -% of a compound according to the formula (2) as well as a monomer composition, which is characterized in that the monomer composition includes a polymerization inhibitor, the· 0 to 100 w -% of a compound according to the formula (1) and· 100 to 0 w -% of a compound according to the formula (2)and at least one olefinically unsaturated monomer.
