The fixing device (1) has a plug-in device (5,7) for plugging a side of a glass surface (3) through the opening of the glass surface by clamps (9). The plug-in device has a bolting device (11) for connecting with the projecting section of the plug in device at another side of the glass surface from the opening. The bolting device prevents a slipping out of the plug in device in a connecting position. The glass surface is fixed in the connecting position of bolting device and plug in device is fixed with out required clamping over the glass surface through the connection at clamp. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing eyeglasses, involves passing a plug-in device through an opening.
