Drive device (1) has an electric motor (3) and an adjustable mechanism (4,5). The shaft (10, 11) is arranged between the electric motor and the adjustable mechanism. The shaft is fixed and designed as square shaft, preferably as steel square shaft. The shaft is designed as a guide tube from a plastic with internal teeth. An independent claim is also included for the seat adjustment device.
