Another bar (4) is constituted of a single piece connected and mounted on an upper end of a flange (10), which is supported on the cylinder head. The bar (3) has a support surface (31) for maintaining the flange and another support surface for fixing the flange on a sealed surface (24) of the cylinder head. An independent claim is also included for a method for positioning an exhaust manifold fixing device.
