PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a long-cycle wave reduction measure structure which enables the optimum and economical reduction of a long-cycle wave by determining necessary wave dissipating performance (reflectance) while coping with water depth and the controversial long-cycle wave in each harbor. PSOLUTION: A relationship between a long-cycle wave reflectance Kr and a ratio (B/L) of an interval (depth B of a retarding section) between front and rear walls of the long-cycle wave reduction measure structure to a long-cycle wavelength (L) is predetermined by an experiment. In the harbor and revetment as actual targets, the depth (B) of the retarding section, corresponding to the wavelength of the long-cycle wave as a reduction measure target and the long-cycle wave reflectance to be obtained in the harbor and the revetment as the targets, is determined by the result of the experiment.
