PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of quantitative determination the ratio of (1,6)-linked glucose/(1,3)-linked glucose in β-glucan, capable of nondestructively measuring the ratio, in a relatively short time, without having to pretreat a measuring sample.;SOLUTION: This method of determining quantitatively the ratio of (1,6)-linked glucose/(1,3)-linked glucose in the β-glucan contained in the sample is a method of measuring a solid ¹³C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of the sample, of calculating the integrated intensity ratio A/B of an integrated intensity A of C-1 carbon peak in the glucose, to the integrated intensity B of C-6 carbon peak in the (1,3)-linked glucose, based on a measured result, and of finding the ratio of (1,6)-linked glucose/(1,3)-coupled glucose, based on the calculated value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
