PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing powdery dried casting sand composition of a dried state having fluidity in the room temperature, which has remarkably small variation with time while using alkaline resol resin aqueous solution, and has good filling-up property, and a method for advantageously manufacturing a mold whose strength is improved by using the above dried casting sand composition.;SOLUTION: To preheated casting sand, the alkaline resol resin aqueous solution is kneaded or mixed and then, the surface of the casting sand is coated with the alkaline resol resin aqueous solution and also, the dried state powdery resin coated sand of the dried state having the fluidity in the room temperature, is obtained by vaporizing the moisture content in such alkaline resol resin aqueous solution with the heat of the casting sand.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
