PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth spring type chair, preventing a user from feeling resistance even in rising.;SOLUTION: In this cloth spring type chair, a fabric is continuously stretched from a backrest to a seating surface to form a body support surface 13, the upper half part of the backrest and both right and left edges of the front half part of the seating surface are locked on the right and left opposite frame rods, the lower half part of the backrest and both right and left edges of the rear half of the seating surface are made as free edges 31 which are not locked on the frame rods, a frame rod 36 for locking the backrest is rockably joined to a body frame 22 by pins, and the angle of inclination of a fixed backrest 28 to a fixed seating surface 30 is controlled to increase or decrease. In the thus constructed chair, (1) a lumber support 33 is stretched in the back of the free backrest 32 of the lower half part, the edge of which is a free edge, between rocking frame rods 36, and (2) a back-up sheet 35 is stretched in the rear of the free seating surface 39 of the rear half part, the edge of which is a free edge, between the frame rods 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
