PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable magnification operation microscope which detects a deep image of an object's region using an OCT scanning light path is configured compactly. PSOLUTION: The operation microscope 100 has an observation light path 109 that passes through a microscopic imaging optical system including a microscopic main objective lens system 101 and a magnification system 108 with variable magnification. The microscopic imaging optical system modifies a converging observation light path 109 originated from an object's region 114 into a parallel light path. The operating microscope includes an OCT system 120 for examining the object's region 114.
