PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorocyclic compound which little affects environmental loads and is useful as a solvent, a cleanser, a reaction solvent, a fire extinguisher and the like, and to provide a method for producing the compound in a good yield.;SOLUTION: 1,2-Dichloro-3,3,4,4-tetrafluorocyclobutane represented by chemical formula (1) is disclosed.
