PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot recognizing a state of the mobile robot being properly brought into contact with a terminal for power supply of a charging system without time difference, and being charged in the proper contact state of the terminal.;SOLUTION: The mobile robot is provided with: a swing shaft 22c to swingably support a connector 22 for charging; a terminal 221 for charging arranged on the charging side surface of the connector 22 for charging; a switching part 23 for electrically switching the terminal 221 for charging and a battery 21 to a conductive/non-conductive states; a sensor part 22e of the connector 22 for charging for transmitting a signal based on attitude change to be generated due to an external force applied from the charging side surface; and a control part 15 for switching the switching part based on the signal transmitted from the sensor part 22e and the swing quantity around the swing shaft of the connector 22 for charging due to the external force, and for electrically connecting between the battery 21 and the terminal 221 for charging.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
