PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting humidity in a device treating and preparing food, capable of obtaining the humidity in mixed gas of the device by a simple method without detecting pressure.;SOLUTION: This invention is related to the method of detecting humidity in the device treating and preparing food, and a method of treating and preparing food. In this method, a temperature value at the present time and a speed value of an asynchronous motor 15 driving a gas supplying and a circulating means 11 are compared with at least one characteristic line stored in a computer, and the present humidity in the mixed gas is calculated from a deviation ΔN of measured speed from the speed of the stored characteristic line.
