The railway line (8) repair machine (1) has wheels (2) at the ends running on the rails (7). It has a longitudinal beam frame (3) carrying various working tools. There are rail lifting tools (22) at the front of the machine followed by a chain excavator (14) with ballast thrown from an exit opening (15) onto conveyer belts (16) leading to a hopper (18) near the rear of the machine. New sleepers (6) are stored on a conveyer belt (13) leading to a sleeper replacement module (27). There is a sleeper changing tool (10) with a clamp (11) removing old sleepers and attaching new ones to the rails. Ballast is then replaced from the hopper.
