The invention relates to a penetrating aerial bomb (1) comprising: an essentially cylindrical hollow penetrating body (10) housing an active material (20) or an inert material, at least one suspension shaft (50; 51) for suspending the bomb from an aircraft, and a shaft (40) housing accessories that enable the operation of the bomb (1). The invention is characterised in that the bomb also includes an essentially cylindrical outer shroud (60) which is solidly attached to the hollow penetrating body (10) and extends along the entire length thereof, the external profile, mass and spatial arrangement of the shroud around the penetrating body being such that the shrouded bomb has the same dimensional, volume, mechanical, aerodynamic and inertial characteristics as a qualified general-purpose bomb.
