Air intake system with continuously variable length intake tube and method for the variation of the length of such an intake tube

Air-intake duct system (1) has a intake duct (2) which consist of two pipes i.e. an external pipe (5) and an internal pipe (6) which is partially placed in the external pipe. The length of the intake port is continuously adjustable by the rotation of second pipe. First pipe (7) is firmly arranged whereby second pipe has a connection (17) with first pipe in such a manner that rotation of second pipe at the longitudinal axis (13) causes a translatory movement of second pipe relative to the first pipe in the direction of the longitudinal axis. An IDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the method.
