PURPOSE: An intake manifold is provided to improve the efficiency of an engine by varying the length of an intake passage and expanding the variable width of the intake passage in the entire operating area of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A continuously variable intake manifold comprises an intake manifold(20), a surge tank, a driving device(60) and a serge tank moving device. A baffle(24) of the intake manifold to distribute intake air in each cylinder of an engine is protruded in a spiral shape continuously to maintain a certain pitch toward the inside of a circular housing(21). A runner to be protruded outside in the middle of a circular passage to be formed by the spiral baffle is extended. The circular passage by the baffle is divided by many intake pipes(31,32,33,34) corresponding to the number of the cylinders. The serge tank is formed in a cylinder shape to be stored in the inner circumference of the baffle. Through holes(42) are penetrated through the middle of the outer circumference of the serge tank to distribute the intake air to the intake pipes. The driving device adjusts the length of each intake pipes by operating an operating shaft(50) according to the change of an operating area in the engine and moving the positions of the through holes. The operating shaft is formed by integrating with the serge tank. Lead screws(52,53) are formed in both sides of the operating shaft. Fixing screws(54,55) are fixed in both sides of the intake manifold to guide the rotation of the lead screws. A guide groove is formed in the outer circumference of the serge tank to confirm with the spiral direction of the baffle.
