METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING ENVIRONMENT OF CARS IN PORTABLE TERMINAL

A car environment setup method in a portable terminal and a device are provided to enable the terminal to store a user's vehicle driving environment information and to transmit the stored information to a vehicle, so that usage environment of each device installed in the vehicle can be set, thus the user can simply set car environment suited to the user. A storage(212) stores vehicle environment information. If an event for transmitting the vehicle environment information is generated, a controller(200) reads the vehicle environment information from the storage(212). A wireless transceiver(206) transmits the read vehicle environment information to a corresponding vehicle. A display(208) displays a list of the stored vehicle environment information. An input unit(210) receives selection for at least one item of the list, and outputs the received items to the controller(200).
