A filter for a display apparatus, a display apparatus having the same, and an apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to effectively shield external light by filling resin material in a base material of an external light shielding layer without a pore and an air gap, thereby enhancing a contrast ratio. An apparatus for manufacturing a filter for a display apparatus includes a base material(14), a resin supply unit(30), a press roller member(31), and a first blade(32). The base material includes pattern mountains(21) and pattern valleys(22) on a top surface, is made of transparent resin, and is moved in one direction. The resin supply unit is positioned on the top surface of the base material and supplies resin material(16a) to the pattern valleys. The press roller member is positioned on the top surface of the base material next to the resin supply unit with respect to a moving direction of the base material and vertically presses the top surface of the base material. The first blade is positioned on the top surface of the base material to be subsequent to the press roller member with respect to the moving direction of the base material and removes the resin material remaining on the pattern mountains.
