FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring the parameters in single sample by separating mitochondria from various organs, producing mitochondrial suspension in buffer, adding potential-depending Safranin A stain in 4.5-5.5 mcM concentration, preparing plates bearing substances under study, adding mitochondria suspension and measuring light absorption changes in time at wavelength of 554 nm and 524 nm when energizing mitochondria and after inducing mitochondria permeability jump. Mitochondria permeability jump is considered to be available from stepwise light absorption reduction at 554 nm after carrying out mitochondria permeability induction jump. Compound influence upon mitochondrial membrane potential is detected on basis of potential-depending Safranin A stain light absorption difference at 554 nm and 524 nm under the influence of compounds under study when energizing mitochondria.;EFFECT: low cost analysis; high productivity of process.;2 dwg
