The headlight (10) has two light generation units for producing light in visible and infrared wavelength regions, where light radiation regions of the light generation units are overlapped. One of the light generation units comprises a laminar light conduction element (18) that is arranged within the light radiation region of the other light generation unit, which has a light coupling region with a light source (20) at a narrow side.
