The headlight has a thermal decoupling element (3) arranged between a light source (1) e.g. LED lighting element, and an optics element (4), and exhibiting heat input-dependent minimum length running in a direction of an optical axis (11) of the light source. Angle distribution of a light bundle coupled to a light coupling surface (7) of the decoupling element arranged at a side turned towards the light source is same as angle distribution of the light bundle decoupling a light decoupling surface (8) that is arranged at the side turned away to the light source.
