PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To two-dimensionally uniformize optical characteristics of optical members such as light transmission characteristics of a color filter, color displaying characteristics of a liquid crystal device, light emitting characteristics of an EL(electroluminescence) light emitting face or the like.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter consists of manufacturing the same prepared by aligning a plurality of dot shaped filter elements 3 on a substrate 12. While principally scanning the substrate 12 in X-direction with an inkjet head 22 having a nozzle row 28 composed of a plurality of nozzles 27 aligned in a row shape, filter materials are selectively discharged from a plurality of the nozzles 27 and filter elements 3 are formed on filter element regions 7. A plurality of the nozzles 27 are divided into a plurality of groups and the principal scanning is repeated two or more times by subsidiarily scanning the inkjet head 22 in Y-direction with a distance δ so as to make these nozzle groups scan the same part of the substrate 12 in duplication.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
