The elevator has a lifting mechanism (2), and a platform formed of set of plates (3, 5) cooperating with a chassis. The plates move slidably on the chassis for constituting a carrier surface area to liberate access spaces around the platform or inside the platform based on localization of intervention area of a vehicle. The plates comprise a median part of the platform.
