METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACQUIRING A DEFORMABLE GEOMETRIC FORM

Method and device for acquiring a deformable geometric shape. A set of sensors (1) is placed on this shape (curve or surface), each sensor providing signals representative of the orientation of the shape to replace this sensor; we choose a model of the form; from the signals, the parameters of the model are determined and the distances separating the sensors are measured; and from the model parameters and the distance measurements, the spatial distribution of points of the shape is determined. The invention applies in particular to the fields of machining, carpentry, masonry and building.
