Frictional part's e.g. frictional lining, frictional co-efficient measuring bench for e.g. motorcar, has core disintegrated from pad, and plate including transversal relief to maintain pad when pad is subjected to tangential stress

The bench has a wheel cylinder cresting a round plate (1), and a pad including a frictional lining (3) at its outer edge. A core (2) applies the pad and the lining against an inner wall (11) of the cylinder. A motor drives the cylinder relative to the plate, and a wheel-brake cylinder (9) and a piston (10) moves the core in a cylinder direction. A measuring circuit measures braking torque induced by a drum brake. The core is disintegrated from the pad, and the plate has transversal reliefs to maintain the pad when the pad is subjected to a tangential stress at a circumference of the plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring frictional co-efficient of a frictional part using a measurement bench.
