The unit has a single management unit controlling and synchronizing displacement units of gripping devices that is comprised of two mobile fingers (13, 14). Driving units are comprised of pinions (20, 21), sprocket (22) and a prime mover (23) to rotatively drive a disk (18) and a bending head (1). The driving units are programmed for synchronizing the displacement units of the gripping devices and the bending head in order to obtain a displacement of a pipe maintained by the gripping devices synchronized with a pipe bending operation.
