INSECT PEST-CONTROLLING COMPOSITION AND INSECT PEST-CONTROLLING METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest-controlling composition having an excellent insect pest-controlling efficacy, and to provide an insect pest-controlling method. PSOLUTION: This insect pest-controlling composition comprises 4-methoxymethyl-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl 3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate, a saturated hydrocarbon having an initial boiling point of ≥150°C and having a 95 percent distillation temperature of ≤300°C, and one or more alkyl carboxylates selected from (i) 12-20C alkyl alkylcarboxylates, (ii) 12-20C dialkyl dicarboxylates, and (iii) 12-20C trialkyl acetylcitrates.
