COIL END FORMING METHOD AND COIL END FORMING APPARATUS FOR STATOR COIL IN ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the use of an insulating paper, ensure insulation with an end face of a stator, and reduce the length of a coil end of a stator coil in a rotary electric machine having the stator coil by concentrated winding.;SOLUTION: A coil end forming method includes: a winding process for winding the stator coil onto a plurality of teeth while a gap exists so as to insert a cuff height protection jig between an end face of the tooth and the stator coil; and a cuff height protection jig inserting process for inserting the cuff height protection jig from an outer circumference of the stator until it reaches the inside of a tip of the tooth between the end face of the stator and the stator coil; and a pressing process for pressing the coil end by a press jig while a press jig guide with a function for regulating a movement of the cuff height protection jig and a function for guiding the press jig is moved to a location at which the movement of the cuff height protection jig is regulated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
