PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator coil of a rotary electric machine of which an air layer is prevented from being formed between the stator coil and a stator core slot side wall to suppress a temperature rise at the stator core slot, which is easy to assemble.;SOLUTION: The strand bundle with an insulating coat is wound by a plurality of turns with a mica tape or mica sheet which is not impregnated to form an insulating layer. The insulating layer is subjected to a vacuum pressure impregnation process with a thermo setting resin, and then to a heating solidifying process in a mold, resulting in an insulating coil. The outer peripheral surface of an insulating layer of the insulating coil is applied with a low resistance corona preventing layer, which is inserted in the stator core slot. A semiconductive member in a semi-setting state, being pressurized from the stator core slot opening side, is heated and solidified, so that the stator coil is tightly bonded to the inner wall of the stator core slot.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
