PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating a desulphurization waste liquid which simultaneously enables harmless treatment of the desulphurization waste liquid and sulfur subjected to solid-liquid separation, and to provide a method for treating a desulphurization waste liquid.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating the desulphurization waste liquid which treats the desulphurization waste liquid discharged from a desulfurization apparatus for removing a sulfur-containing compound contained in a coke oven gas comprises: the soda redox process desulfurization apparatus which removes the sulfur-containing compound from the coke oven gas using the soda redox process, separates the removed sulfur-containing compound into solid sulfur and the desulphurization waste liquid, and discharges these; a dissolution reactor which is supplied with the solid sulfur and the desulphurization waste liquid, also generates sodium polysulfide from the solid sulfur and caustic soda, and dissolves the sodium polysulfide in the desulphurization waste liquid; a weighing conveyor which weighs the solid sulfur and feeds the weighed solid sulfur to the reactor; a caustic soda feed apparatus which feeds the predetermined number of moles of caustic soda to the dissolution reactor; and a combustion furnace equipped with a submerged combustion can which oxidizes and incinerates sodium polysulfide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
