PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a carbon nanotube composite body in which single-walled one and double-walled one are intermingled on an aluminum substrate at a high ratio, and to provide an energy device having low resistance and a high volume by using the same for an electrode material.;SOLUTION: A catalyst layer of carbon nanotubes is formed on an aluminum substrate at a vapor deposition film thickness of 0.5 to 1.0 nm, the catalyst substrate is heat-treated in a reducing atmosphere for forming a group of catalyst grains, carbon nanotubes 21 in which single-walled one and double-walled one are intermingled is subjected to gas phase growth on the aluminum-containing substrate 22 at a synthesis temperature of 570 to 660°C in a gaseous mixture of a reducing gas and a hydrocarbon gas, so as to produce a carbon nanotube composite body in which single-walled one and double-walled one are intermingled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
