PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device which remarkably reduces the trouble of taking bubbles into a nozzle opening or the like, also widens a flushing region, and can reduce an ink amount required for the dissolution of clogging.;SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording device includes: a recording head varying the pressure in a pressure chamber communicated with a nozzle opening in accordance with a driving signal, and discharging ink droplets from the nozzle opening by the variation of the pressure; and a capping means sealing the recording head. At the point of the time at which the timing of flushing reaches, before the flushing, preliminary suction movement of sucking away a trace amount of ink in the opening part of the nozzle is practiced, thus the behavior of a meniscus upon the flushing is made stable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
