PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining life evaluation method and a deformation amount evaluation method for a metallic material that can stably evaluate a life and a deformation amount of material with high accuracy over a wide range.;SOLUTION: A crystal orientation distribution measuring means measures crystal orientation distribution to the progress degree of a material life of a test material, and crystal orientation distribution quantifying means quantify the crystal orientation distribution. Master curve deriving means derive a first master curve that indicates the relationship between the quantified crystal orientation distribution and the progress degree of the material life, and stores it in a database. The crystal orientation distribution measuring means then measures the crystal orientation distribution of an inspection material for remaining life evaluation, which is formed of the same material as the test material, and the crystal orientation distribution quantifying means quantifies the crystal orientation distribution.
