PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive liquid level detector of a small size.;SOLUTION: This liquid level detector 1 is provided with a float moved following the fluctuation of a liquid level, a rigid circuit board 5, resistors 12a, 12b provided on the circuit board 5, the first sliding path 14 comprising a plurality of electrodes connected to the resistors 12a, 12b provided on the circuit board 5, and the first contact 6 contacting with the first sliding path 14, and resistance values of the resistors 12a, 12b are changed in the detector by bringing the first contact 6 into contact with the at least one of the plurality of electrodes constituting the first sliding path 14, in accompaniment to the fluctuation of the float, so as to output an electric signal. In the detector 1, the second sliding path 15 connected electrically to the first sliding path 14 is provided on the circuit board 5, the second contact 7 is provided to contact with the second sliding path 15, and the first and second contact 6, 7 are connected electrically to an external circuit respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
