PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for producing a food such as sausage, capable of surely cutting the twisted part without fault even if the sausage is a sausage using natural intestine casing having remarkable extensibility or a sausage having low stuffing density. ;SOLUTION: This producing apparatus 1 for producing foods such as sausage is equipped with a stuffed casing forming and rotating means 5 for discharging meat 3 as filler into unstuffed casing 2 comprising natural intestine and forming stuffed casing 4 and rotating the stuffed casing 4 through the unstuffed casing 2 in R direction around a shaft center X, a stuffed casing twist forming and carrying means 7 for successively twisting the stuffed casing 4 formed and rotated in R direction by the stuffed casing forming and rotating means 5 at a prescribed interval D and producing the twisted part 6 in the stuffed casing 4 and carrying the stuffed casing whose twisted part 6 is formed to a direction A and a separating means 8 for successively separating the stuffed casing 4 formed by the stuffed casing twist forming and carrying means 7 in the twisted part 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
