PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed ink surely by a method wherein the discharging of air in either of first and second chambers is prohibited while liquid is filled into the other chamber while discharging the air in the other chamber to the outside of the vessel under a condition that a communicating unit is positioned downwardly. ;SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 101 is fixed to an ink pouring device while positioning a communicating unit 102 downwardly and an atmosphere communicating unit 107 as well as a liquid supplying unit 108 are blocked by sealing members 40, 50. When the feed of ink from an ink hole 20 is started, the ink is filled into both parts near the communicating unit of negative pressure generating members in first and second chambers, then, ink 90 is fed into the second chamber 104 only after the communicating unit 102 is blocked while air 70 is discharged out of an air discharging port 10. When the second chamber 104 is filled, the air discharging port 10 is blocked with a sealing member 60, the atmosphere communicating unit 107 is opened and ink 80 is fed into the negative pressure generating member 105 in the first chamber while air is discharged out of the atmosphere communicating unit 107. After the predetermined amount of ink is poured into the first chamber, the atmosphere communicating unit 107 is blocked and the air discharging port 10 and the ink pouring port 20 are sealed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
