The system has a girder formed at one end in a lengthwise direction of a beam upper wall (3) and extending in two lengthwise extending side walls (4). A building element is provided with an attachment that has an upper contact surface. The upper wall of the end of the girder is formed on a contact surface of the attachment. Supporting surfaces are fixed at a spot of the contact surface of the attachment. Inner sides of both ends of the support surfaces include a horseshoe-shaped element. The support element includes a projection. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a horizontal beam of a building element.
