BUOYANT INSULATION COMPOSITION FOR GARMENTS

A buoyant insulation composition for garments has a foam sheet made of aflexible andbuoyant closed cell foam having a plurality of parallel rows of slits throughthe foamsheet. Each of the slits is offset from the slits in adjacent rows. There isthen an innerelastic layer bonded across substantially all of an inner surface to the foamsheet thatfunctions to bias the slits towards a closed configuration.
