ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA vapour permeable buoyant insulation compositionsuitable for floatation garments and the like isimpermeable to water, and yet allows the escape ofperspiration when the composition is used in garments orboots. The composition comprises a closed-cellinsulating foam which has a plurality of aperturesdistributed throughout, first and second layers offabric, one layer on each side of the foam, and stitchingpattern throughout the composition causing the first andsecond layers to be in contact at the apertures in thefoam.
