An object is to provide: a protein antigen or apeptide antigen usable as a vaccine composition which hasan ability to practically prevent or treat a Pseudomonasaeruginosa infection, and which can cope with thediversity of clinical isolates derived from patients witha Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection; and an antibodydirected against the antigen. The present inventionprovides a protein antigen or a peptide antigen and anantibody directed against these, which are for use indiagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a diseaseassociated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to thepresent invention, a protein or a peptide derived from aPseudomonas aeruginosa -outer membrane protein PA4710, andan antibody directed against these are provided, which arefor use in diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a diseaseassociated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
