A safety valve device (300) has a safety valve device body (310) and a discharge pipe (330). The safety valve device body (310) has in it a valve mechanism for opening the valve when temperature reaches a predetermined level. The discharge pipe (330) has a gas flow path (332) in which hydrogen, flowing out of a hydrogen tank via the safety valve device body (310) when the valve mechanism opens the valve, flows, and also has a hydrogen discharge opening (334) for discharging the hydrogen flowing in the gas flow path (332) to the outside. In the discharge pipe (330), the hydrogen discharge opening (334) is formed so that the hydrogen flows in the direction inclined relative to the axis of the gas flow path (332). Further, the discharge pipe (330) has a groove (336) into which rotational force for pivoting the discharge pipe (330) about the axis of the gas flow path (332) is inputted. In installing a high-pressure gas tank, provided with the safety valve device, on a vehicle, the direction of discharge of high-pressure gas to be discharged from the high-pressure gas tank can be easily adjusted.
