The invention relates to a baking device for types of deep-fried foods, in particular for households. A fat pan (10), a heating unit (8), a lower baking plate (20), and an upper baking plate (27) are arranged in said baking device. The invention is characterized in that the baking device comprises a lower housing (2) and an upper housing (3) which are fastened by means of an air-tight or water-tight fit, the fat pan (10) is located in the lower housing (2) while the baking unit is located in the upper housing (3), and the baking unit is arranged between the support column (14) and the guide strut (29) in such a way that the baking unit can be lowered without being rotated and can be raised by being rotated by 180°.
