A dashboard assembly (1) of a motor vehicle includes a dashboard (2) and a connector (5), which is set in a hole of the dashboard (2) and defines a seat (7) which is accessible by opening a hatch (10); the connector has an electrical contact for the 12-V or 24-V electrical supply and at least one electrical contact for transmission of data and is provided with at least one retention hole (22) for withholding a support (14) of a portable electronic device engaging in the seat (7); also provided is a reinforcement system around at least part of the seat (7) for withstanding vibrations and forces exerted, in use, by the support (14).
