A power line/wireless communication equipment a power line communication system having the same, and a method thereof are provided to maintain a connection state stably against external noises by updating pre-stored bit allocation information corresponding to each wireless communication method based on the signal attenuation and signal to noise ratio. A power line interface module(12) uses a coupling circuit to block the power of a low frequency band from a power line, extract only the information signal of a high frequency band, and transmit the extracted information to a power line modem(14). The power line modem modulates or demodulates data for the power line communication and performs data conversion between the power line interface module and a wireless communication module(16) by being connected between the power line interface module and wireless communication module. The wireless communication module receives signals demodulated by a modulation/demodulation unit(143), converts the received signals according to a wireless communication method, and then transmits the converted signals to a wireless subscriber premises device through an antenna(18).
