A spam blocking service system and a method thereof using a mobile communications terminal for improving the convenience of a user by selectively blocking an incoming switched spam call are provided to request incoming switched information about a call in an absence through communication network and selectively perform a spam registration about the call in an absence when the spam registration is requested according to provided incoming switched information. A first terminal(102) requests information of a second terminal(112) to a switch(106) according to absence information through a first communication network(104). A terminal request incoming switched information of the second terminal to HLR(108) according to information request of the second terminal(206). After the HLR confirms whether to subscribe a spam blocking service of the first terminal according to the request of the incoming switched information, the HLR checks the incoming switched information stored corresponding to the second terminal(208). The HLR extracts and provides the incoming switched information of the second terminal to the switch(210). The switch requests the transmission of the incoming switched information to an ARS service center through an ARS service(212). After the ARS service center generates an ARS message including the incoming switched information according to the transmission request of the incoming switched information from the switch, the ARS service center transmits the ARS message to the first terminal through the switch and the first communication network(214).
