A goose neck hinge assembly of the rear gate for the vehicle is provided that the turning member moves downward along the elongated groove while the rear gate rotates since the perpendicular elongated groove is formed at the fixed bracket. A goose neck hinge assembly of the rear gate for the vehicle comprises a goose neck-shaped turning member(200) connected to a fixing bracket(100) through a pivot axis(220), a pinion unit(210) prepared in the pivot axis, a rack unit(300) which is toothed with the pinion unit in order to elevate the turning shaft when the turning member rotates. An elongated groove(110) in which the pinion unit is descended along the rack unit is perpendicularly formed in the fixing bracket.
