In microdosing apparatus with a pump (3) (having a piston (10)) and a medium channel (15) between an inlet (1) and an outlet (2) (having respective valves (5, 8) and pistons (6, 9)), (i) the outlet valve is self-sealing in the event of excess pressure in the channel and (ii) the outlet valve is controllable to open an outlet valve actuator and/or the inlet valve is controllable to close an inlet valve actuator.
