The cover (10) has a circular flexible seal (16) and an inner space that is provided between a food container and the cover, where the space is sealable. A set of units e.g. relief-and shut off valve (20), relief valve and shut off valve, are provided to alternatively close a flow channel when pressure in the inner space lies below a pre-determined high pressure. The units unblock the flow channel in sections when pressure in the inner space exceeds the pre-determined high pressure, where the cover in gastronorm format is made of microwave-suitable material. An independent claim is also included for a food container set comprising a set of food containers.
